PickParrot

Privacy policy

Last updated October 23, 2026

Short version: PickParrot has no accounts, no sign-up forms, no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics scripts. We don't collect your name, email or IP address, and we don't sell or share data.

What we count

To see which pages and guides are useful, the site keeps simple anonymous daily counters:

These are totals, not profiles. They aren't tied to a person, device ID, IP address or cookie, and they're deleted automatically after about four months. Known bots are ignored.

To avoid counting one visit twice, your browser's session storage (not a cookie) remembers how you arrived until you close the tab. It never leaves your device except as part of those anonymous counts.

What you type into the search box

When you ask the parrot for a recommendation, the text you type is sent to our AI and web-search providers to find and summarize reviews. A short copy of recent search phrases (up to the last 100) is kept for up to 30 days so we can improve results, with no information about who typed them. Please don't type personal details into the search box.

Amazon affiliate links and cookies

PickParrot is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click an Amazon link, you leave our site and Amazon may set its own cookies to attribute a purchase to us, so we can earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Amazon's handling of that data is covered by Amazon's Privacy Notice. PickParrot itself sets no cookies.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel, which may process standard technical request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect against abuse, under its own privacy policy. We don't use that data for analytics.

Children

PickParrot isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect information from them.
